Smokers....

Started the day great today....a slow walk to the MRT station, breathing in the fresh air.... and the cool wind blowing against my face...

Entered the MRT...crowded as usual....just when the door was about the close, this guy in formal working wear rushed into the train and stood beside me...

Young and pleasant looking...gave a good impression....then suddenly something striked me....

Cigarette smell! *YUCKS* so stong and choking...i had to rub my nose several times and tried veri hard not to breathe too deeply....that's not the worst...the cigarette smell seemed to have some chemical reaction with the surrounding perfume smell from either him or the other passengers on the train...and the resulting odour was unbearable....

ALright...if u're a smoker reading this page....u shld now know how non-smokers think....you urself wouldn't realised the kind of odour u're giving off....to you is just a puff before u get onto the train and go off to work... to you it doesn't matter if u have the smell stuck on you for the rest of the day....

but do spare a thought for others....for ppl who bathe clean and smell nice...getting ready for a fresh day at work....for ppl who simply cannot stand this kind of smell at all...

If u wanna smoke...make sure u get rid of the smell first before stepping into the crowded air-conditioned MRT....

Have i ever mentioned that i really dislike ppl who smoke?? i hate cigarette smell...and guess what? my dad is a smoker...i still remember when i was young i used to 'confiscate' his packets of cigarettes and hide it in my cupboard or some other compartments which he can't find....intially he couldn't explain why he always cannot find his half packet/even new packet of cigarettes....(i always took and hide it when he's not ard)....slowly he came to realise that it was me...he didn't flare up...simply bought a new packet...

and so everytime he bought a new packet. i'll hide it again...till a day comes when i have a whole compartment full with packets and packets of cigarettes....and it was then he said its a waste of money coz everytime I hide it he'll get a new packet...and telling me how expensive cigarettes are... guess what i say??

i told him the choice is his...if he's worried that i'll confiscate it again, he can choose not to buy a new packet...then it wouldn't be a waste of money! haha...thinking back...i realised i was a little daring in hiding up his cigarette!

its not possible for him to completely stop smoking after so many years....but the fact is that he has reduced the amount he smoke....he veri seldom smoke at home now...because he know i'll complain...even if he does, he'll smoke after all of us are asleep or at the kitchen windows....

yep....so smokers out there...do spare a thought for your family and the public!
