just finish watching the show....quite disppointed actually....think the show standard getting worse...the judges are like so obviously bias?? they gave high ratings to the gers who are hot favourites when the gers obviously didn't do well in the swimsuit and night gown category??!! hello?? how can they be like this?? and in the end some of the gers with potential got neglected...luckily when it comes to the Q&A they cannot be bias anymore...coz the audience got ears and can hear and see for themselves who are the better ones and can represent singapore....ahahaha

and as usual there're some politically correct answer like:

Qn: which mascot would u choose to represent singapore for charity purpose?
Ans: Lion because singapore is singapura. and siga means lion and lion is always the icon for singapore.

ahahah...that's like so duh! and its not even related to charity??

Qn: wat would you do if you're left with $2 for the day?
Ans: go newton eat char kuay teow then go home sleep...

with only $2?? unless u stay near there lah....

and the worse part was the part when they need to choose 10 out of the 18 contestants.....they separated the gers into 3 groups - A B and C...then the contestants in one group will all get in, those in the other group will all get out, and the last group - 4 in and 2 out.....and guess wat? the hot favourites are all in 1 group! and the low profile ones all in another group! duh...so obvious! and in the end the hosts tried to create the tense atmosphere for the last group where only 4 out of 6 gers can remain in the competition..... *faint*

realy disappointed in the show....sigh...

then during the final Q&A the qn was: What do u think is the biggest strength and weakness of a woman?

one of the contestant really turns me off....know wat she answered??

"she said the greatest strength is beauty coz a woman can use it as a weapon to get wat she wants and she has nv seen a guy who turns down a beautiful woman."

i almost fainted! this kind of answer on national tv?? ok....maybe she didn't mean wat i think she meant...or maybe it might be true for CERTAIN women...but dun she know that she just offended most women in singapore? she just portrayed a materalistic side of her who's willing to sell herself to get anything she want....even the smile on the female host's face disappeared....and Gurmit Singh also dun know how to react....

in the end she's the 1st runner up....the winner was this ger called Cheryl and i think she gave an excellent answer....she said smth like the weakness is the fear...the fear that she might not be able to meet the expectation of the society....as a career woman as well as a wife and mother....fear that she's not able to achieve wat she want to achieve...and the strength is the courage to face this fear...to show to the world that she can do it.

perhaps the best part about the show was the Taufik singing 'Me and Mrs Jones'...fantastic! hehe...

okok...better get back to work...spent 2 hours watching the show...=p
