Australia Grad Trip 14th June (Day 3)

The 3rd day was a half day city tour in sydney followed by free and easy on our own....well.....the guide brought us to see the harbour bridge as well as the sydney opera house...but the stopover was quite short...so we went to explore the area in the later half of the day..... here's the first stopover of the city tour....

The Sydney Harbour Bridge

then we were brought up to this upland area where we had an excellent view of the area....houses on sloping land with yatchs owned by the residents there 'parked' by the water....i guess these ppl are really rich....

the next stop was Manly Beach! an interesting story behind the name of the beach...hee...a veri nice beach...oh well...any beach is nice as compared to singapore's....clean sandy beach, clear seawater with hugh waves gushing in...and of course the blue blue sky....

Manly Beach!

Shirley, Elaine and me...

we even saw surfers surfing! see the backgrd in the pic? i felt cold for them!

oops....acting cute?

an interesting thing i noted....the sand has got neat lines of footsteps.... rows and rows of footsteps neatly lined along the beach....just like some railway trails.....i guess these were left behind by ppl who jogged along the beach as well as ppl strolling along the beach...its amazing how the footsteps of the different ppl form such nice patterns....

along the beach.......

after the half day city tour, we went back to explore the sydney opera house and harbour bridge....although the sky was very overcast....we were glad that it didn't rain...somehow with the dark overcast sky, the sunlight shining on the opera house seems to make it glow!

Sydney Opera House

while we were walking around the area, we saw this busker and thought he looked really interesting! here's a shot with him!

A busker and us!

the view of the Harbour bridge taken in front of the sydney opera house was great...can see the whole bridge nicely....a pity the sky is a little dark....saw a lot of ppl just sitting by the riverside enjoying the view, the breeze.....what a nice life....

Sydney Harbour Bridge

somehow we feel that the sydney opera house looks better from afar...ahaha....it doesn't look as white from near....hee...

Shirley and me...

after all the phototakings, we were pretty tired to walk all the way back to our hotel....so we decided to hop on a river cruise which brought us back to Darling Harbour....from there is about 10-15 mins walk back to hotel....=p the river cruise was fun....esp when the cool wind blow against my face! so relaxing...

on a river cruise!
