Australia Grad Trip 19th & 20th June (Day 8 & 9)

On Day 8, we were on our way to Warrook Farm, a working cattle property....it was smaller than expected with some farm animals there....=p not exactly fantastic but it was a pretty fun experience esp for animals lovers... the time spent there was too short i felt...perhaps next time i shld go for farm stay instead...to fully experience this kind of lifestyle!

The sheep in the picture is actually quite cute....other than the one in the pic, there's another one nearby....they were pretty curious about us initially but after 'interacting' with a few of us and taking a few pic, they got bored of it and started walking away from the fences! while i was there, i saw this guy who tried so hard to get the sheep to take photo with him...to the extent of pulling the poor sheep by its horns! he was so rough that i wanted to tell him off!

Baa Baa White Sheep

there was this enclosed area with all the lambs! they're are so adorable! so tame and meek....see the bigger lamb in the extreme right of the pic? its veri attention seeking! while i was playing with it, one of the smaller lambs wanted to join in and started making its way towards the gate...but the older lamb tried to chase it away! its refuse to share my attention with the smaller one! haha...

Sunshine has a little lamb!

this is the best experience i had during the short stay at the farm...with this white charming horse! i was a little afraid to stand too near to it initially fearing that it may neigh at me anytime...haha...but it stayed veri still...just stand there and take photos with me...then i got a little more bold and starting stroking its face and back.....then the most amazing thing happened! the horse turned and looked at me! i was first taken aback, then for like 10 sec, the horse just kept looking at me! opening its mouth at times as if it wanted to say something.... i didn't know what to do and how to react...i just stand there and look at it..haa...when we turned and left, i turned back and it was still standing at the gate there looking at us leaving....like bidding us farewell....

Sunshine and her 白马王子! haha!

taken aback when it stared intently at me....

after the farm experience, it was the Penguin Parade on Philip Island....at the carpark we saw this sign:

Cute Sign!

it seems like some of the penguin might get lost and end up hiding somewhere, so some of them might get hit by the cars......

no photos were allowed during the parade....but its really amazing to see the penguins popping their small little heads above the water and how they stay near the water till they form a colony and then quickly making their way to home on land.....

we even had this experience where this little one couldn't find the rest, and ended up by itself on one part of the beach, it then bravely 'ran' towards the land and decided to find some spot as a camouflage spot...guess where it picked? it hid under shirley's feet! haha...with the help of the ranger, we managed to get the little penguin to continue its way home to the burrows....

Penguin Parade

after the parade, we had dinner at a nearby restaurant....as it was veri veri cold, we had white wine again! and it was such a nice dinner coz we saw this waiter there who looks like the young Keanu Reeves! so good looking! we tried to capture him on the camera but all the photos turn out to be blur....sigh...

Dinner....with white wine again...

the next day just before we left melbourne for singapore, we went to walk ard the city for one last time...we also had dim sum breakfast at this restaurant in chinatown...=p
