Australia Grad Trip 18th June (Day 7)
Alright....finally can continue with this Aust Trip entries...heehee...must apologise for keeping my readers waiting..... just ended my temp job...the one week break is finally here....whew...
On Day 7 we went on this land package which consists of Puffing Billy, Yarra Valley and Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary....The first stop was this open area in the forest which proved to be an eye-opening experience! the moment we reached the place, the natives there came flying down, as a sign of welcoming us! haha...its really a very nice experience....they're not afraid of humans at all, prob very used to tourists going to the area to feed them...hehe...the tour guide prepared birds' seeds for us to feed the birds....i can't describe to you all in words how much i enjoyed there....its really a superb experience feeding the colourful birds...

i love the birds!
Me and shirley exchanged cameras and one moment i will be clicking and taking pictures for her...the next moment, a bird land on my shoulder and she will take pictures for me...haha.... and while the 2 of us were busy taking pictures and "interacting" with the birds, elaine and adeline will be standing some distance away, simply watching the whole "show"...haha...they dun really like interacting with the birds you see....

See? the bird is saying hello to me! so cute rite?
The following picture shows how much i'm enjoying myself...haha...actually the reason why i have that expression is because of the pressure i felt on my right hand...2 birds landing on it and gosh...they're heavy aren't they? they're actually showing affections for each other while standing on my hand instead of eating!!! haha...

enjoying myself?! haha...
The next stop was the Puffing Billy! We took the Puffing Billy Steam Train through the lush forests of the Sherbrooke Forest....a rare experience....There're actually people leaving at some parts of the forest...and they're very friendly folks....while the train ride past, those people who're outside their house doing stuff will stop whatever they're doing and wave at us as an indication of saying "Hello"....

With Puffing Billy!

We're the Puffing Billy operators! haha

the cabins where we were sat...
Finally, we arrived at the Yarra Valley Fergusson's Winery where we had lunch....and because it was winter, the winery looks erm....bare....=p

At Yarra Vally's Fergusson's Winery
We had white wine for lunch too....its was pretty nice...not too fruity nor sweet....just right...and cost 15 Aust dollars for a bottle only....cheap rite?

Cheers!
Lastly, we reached the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary where i get to see my koalas and kangaroos again....haha...

Mummy & son....=p

so photogenic!
We also had a chance to watch the 'Eagles Fly' demonstration where 4-5 species of eagles were introduced to us....wah....they're really magnificient...and fast...couldn't get a proper clear photo of them because they were moving/flying so fast! even their trainers sometimes can't control them! The particular one i have in the photos below is the last eagle shown...if you look carefully at its legs, you'll noticed that it looks like a muscular guy with muscular thighs...ahaha...and it walks like a clumsy human being...a pity can't really show the video here...i bet you ppl will laugh when u see how it walks....hahaha....

Birds of Prey!

nice scenary behind...
